Autobiography(10 min)
Hi everyone, it is my honor to introduce myself to everybody.
First I will introduce my hometown kinsmen and myself.
Second I will talk about my family.
Third I will introduce my personality.
Then I will share my life in national central university.
Also I will share my hobby.
Finally I will talk about my ambition in the future.
My Chinese name is Jizheng Tsai, and my English name is Alex. I was born on 5th August 1984 in a small island named kinmen. For those searching for the island on a map for the first time, there is the temptation to think it is part of mainland China -because of its proximity to the big country, but the truth it is part of Taiwan. Thus I am a Taiwanese. Kinmen suffered greatly during the Moa revolution war, witnessing severe bombings. With peace, my beautiful home quickly assumed its historic role as a trade zone. It is famous for chopping knife, Kaoliang alcohol, and Tribute sugar. I encouraged any one looking for a beautiful place where people smile all the time to pay us a visit.
I come from a family of five people. My father is a retired government officer and my mother a housewife. She, I must relate is a good cook. My sister is working as a saleswoman in a bank, and my brother is a computer engineer in R&D department. As you may guess I am the youngest one in my family.
I am an easy going, sincere, and honest young man. Some people tell me that it is easy to suffer losses if one is too honest. But I think it is very important to trust your friends. Just imagine a world where lack of trust prevails. I wouldn’t like to live in such a world and neither would you. May I add that I am an introversive and conservative guy, when it comes to relating to women. So some people understand me while other don’t. Some even go the extent of calling me 「otaku」, meaning a person who does not excel in communicating, socializing with people, but prefers playing computer games, watching animations, and reading comic books. Well I don’t share this view. The fact that I’m a simple guy preferring a simple life style does not mean that I am an 「otaku」.
After graduating from senior school, I left my hometown and moved to Taipei and after a successful four years of studies at the Aletheia University, I was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree. While in college I majored in industrial management. Currently, I am taking a graduate program in information management at the National Central University (NCU).
At the beginning of my studies at NCU, I felt disappointed and unhappy. A lot of things, which I would rather not mention here, did not measure up to my expectation. I must say that the difficulties encountered have been a blessing in disguise and I now thank God. I have learnt a lot of things which include not just the expertise skills, but also positive attitude and psychology recovery ability. In addition, I made lots of good friends in my campus and special among them are foreigners from different countries like Belize, Honduras, Mexico in Central American and Burkina Faso, Gambia in Africa. I think I am very fortune, because few people have the opportunity to befriend people from diverse backgrounds. With them I have the chance to improve my English speaking and listening skill as well as have a taste of their culture.
In my spare time, I like to play ACG; it means animation, comic books, and games. Some people think it is just time wasting to play games, watching animation, reading comic books. But I do not think so. From ACG, I am learning languages like English, and Japanese, as well having insights on how to become a general, a manager. I also like to read all kinds of books, including history novels; management and psychology books just to mention a few. Besides static activities, I like to play some sports, too. Playing table tennis with friends, swimming, and mountain climbing I do when I’m not tied up. I also love participating in all kinds of social activity like community teaching programs.
Now it is final year in my student life and it is time to work hard for my thesis. Therefore, I will put lots of my effort in schoolwork and intensify my professional skills, as well as English ability. In addition, I will try something crazy I have never fulfilled before, like riding a motorcycle around all the Taiwan Island, taking part in some interesting, fantastic clubs, or traveling alone overseas. Because I will not have any free time in the future, so it is time to do crazy thing.After completing my master degree, I will be a soldier first for one year and then work for my life. Perhaps I will be a programmer engineer, or ERP transfer, business counselor, evens a foreigner diplomat or drama actor, nobody knows. But I will try all kinds of jobs which is appropriate for me. Last but not the least, I hope I will earn lots of money and give back to my parents, society and the people in demand, because helping people will make me happier.
